Sunford News (Web Developer)

Sunford News needed a website that could carry a newly launched Nigerian news outlet with the credibility of an established one. I designed and built a custom WordPress-based platform structured around their specific editorial focus national news, politics, defence & security, economy, energy, investigative journalism, public institutions, exclusive interviews, and analysis rather than relying on a generic news template. The site includes a fully custom homepage layout, category and archive pages, an intuitive publishing dashboard for non-technical editorial staff, and professional infrastructure including SSL security and branded email addresses. Delivered end-to-end within a 6-week timeline.

Sunford News, a newly launched outlet, needed a professional web presence that didn't look like a generic off-the-shelf news site. They also needed a publishing system simple enough for non-technical editorial staff to manage daily, and secure infrastructure (SSL, professional email) to establish credibility from day one.

Built a fully custom WordPress platform with a homepage structured around the client's specific editorial sections, rather than a standard news template. Included category/archive pages with search, a full article template with social sharing and related articles, an intuitive admin dashboard for publishing, and professional email + SSL setup all scoped, built, and delivered within 6 weeks.

Designing a homepage layout distinct enough to stand apart from typical news templates, while still keeping the structure intuitive for readers and the backend simple enough for an editorial team with no technical background to manage independently.

A fast, secure, and professionally structured news platform that gives Sunford News the technical foundation to compete with established outlets, positioning them for growth as they scale content output and audience.
