CHS-Community Hosting & Support (Frontend Developer)

Community Hosting and Support (CHS) is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise delivering supported accommodation, outreach support, and specialist consultancy for young people aged 16+ across the UK. I built their official website using Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Framer Motion for smooth, subtle animations, with Resend handling contact form submissions. The site presents CHS's three core service pillars, Accommodation & Support, Support-Only Services, and Consultancy, alongside their mission, partner network, and impact stats, in a clean, professional layout suited to local authorities, landlords, and care providers evaluating the organization.

CHS needed a credible, professional web presence to represent their work to a serious institutional audience, local authorities, landlords, housing associations, and supported-accommodation providers, while clearly communicating multiple distinct service lines (direct accommodation, outreach support, and specialist consultancy) without overwhelming visitors.

Built a modern, fast, SEO-structured marketing site on Next.js and Tailwind CSS, organized around CHS's three service pillars with dedicated pages for each. Framer Motion was used for subtle scroll and interaction animations that keep the site feeling polished without being distracting, given the sensitive nature of the organization's work. Resend was integrated to handle contact form submissions reliably, routing enquiries straight to the CHS team.

Striking the right tone, the site needed to feel trustworthy and composed given the vulnerable population CHS serves, while still being visually engaging enough to stand out to institutional partners like local authorities and housing associations. Balancing three distinct service offerings on one site without the navigation or messaging feeling cluttered was also a key consideration.
